Ms Syahirah is a dedicated and experienced Oral Health Therapist (OHT). She holds a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy with Merit from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, and a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy with Distinction from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

 

On Solid Ground

With nearly three years of experience with the Health Promotion Board’s School Dental Service, Ms Syahirah adeptly managed administrative and clinical duties, including providing preventive and restorative dentistry for students and being involved in oral health promotion. Ms Syahirah then left for Australia where she further refined her skills in the public sector (NSW Health), working across multiple hospitals and community clinics in diverse urban and regional settings. Her comprehensive training in various dental specialities during her clinical placements has enriched her expertise and proficiency in oral health care.

After eight years as an OHT and upon returning from Australia, Ms Syahirah joined My Dental Team. Here, she continues to advance her career and contribute to comprehensive patient care. Her approach to dental care emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic oral health care and help patients achieve their desired smiles.

 

Currently, Ms Syahirah also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor for the Diploma in Oral Health Therapy program, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for dental health to future professionals.

 

Behind the Scenes

Outside of her professional life, Ms Syahirah enjoys travelling, spending time with loved ones, and savouring good food. She is fluent in English, Malay, and Indonesian, making her a versatile and accessible provider for a diverse patient base!
